Everyone loves crossovers, the games where all the toughest and most famous characters from within one or more universes come together to see who is the best in a fight. One of the most famous video game of this type is the crossover of Marvel comic heroes vs Capcom game characters.
FUN FACT: This is actually the 3rd time that characters from both Marvel and Capcom have appeared in the same game. The first time was in X-Men vs Street Fighter and the second time was in Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter.
Set in the Marvel Universe it turns out that Professor X has merged with Magneto to become the super powered monster named Onslaught, before this happened X called out for heroes to stop him which in turn brought heroes from the Capcom universe into the fray.
If you’ve played Street Fighter or any other fighting game then you shouldn’t find this game a problem at all. Of course all the characters control differently due to their abilities and fighting styles, so it is important to do some training runs as well as look up their move list before fighting people online. In this game you choose two characters to play with as well as a random assist character who will attack the opponent a certain amount of times, when choosing your two characters take into consideration their styles of fighting so that when you switch characters you can catch your opponent off guard.
One of the new features in this game is the Duo team attack which allows you to control both the characters on your team to bring the hurt, during this phase you have unlimited uses of their super moves. There is also a lot of room for aerial combat which if done correctly can juggle your opponent for devastating combos.
Must have for both Marvel and Capcom fans. With it being available on the PSN and Xbox live anyone can fight as their favourite heroes, plus an online match making service to put your skills against fighters across the world (mainly Asia). When you buy this game under Marvel Vs Capcom origins you get Marvel Superheroes the game for free, all for under £10.
Can’t go wrong with that..
