Ranking every Sneak flavour in the starter pack

Sneak is a fairly new brand of Sugar Free energy drink equivalents which have essential vitamins in to help give users a mental energy boost, I exercise regularly and thought it would be fun to rank all nine flavours that you get in the starter pack and see if it does actually boost my energy.

For more information about Sneak please checkout the official website

https://sneakenergy.com/

In the box you get a shaker and drinks holder, I really like the design and the logo, I cant vouch for the quality yet as I haven’t tested it but it does feel sturdy and secure.

I also received one of each of the nine flavours available there is a new flavour called Blizzard which is not included in the package, the whole package was £18 with a choice of either £3.99 standard delivery or £5.99 next day delivery.

without further ado lets hope right in, obviously I’m not drinking these in one go so each flavour will be tried just before a daily workout.

Each powered packet must be mixed with 300-400ml of water and shaken well inside of the Sneak container.

Tropikilla

Tropikilla is really nice, tasted like a tropical squash which I suppose is to be expected, its delicious and tasted just as its sounds, big fan of this one. 10/10

Strawberry Watermelon

Strawberry Watermelon was very sweet, I’m not a huge fan of it to be honest, very strong artificial watermelon flavour, not horrible but not one I will be getting in the future. 4.2/10

Stealth

So I accidently made this before photographing so apologies for that, Stealth is a really popular flavour of Sneak so I am surprised that I really dislike it, it reminds me of Monster Energy Drinks which I have never enjoyed and its a shame but I think this is one of my least favourites. 3/10

Purple Storm

Purple Storm tastes amazing and has close similarities to the drink Vimto, its sweet but overly strong and has just the right balance of a great taste that doesn’t leave you with cravings for it afterwards, it is an easy win for me 10/10

Cherry Bomb

Cherry Bomb is another very sweet flavour, it has a taste of artificial cherries like those you would find on a cupcake, not a favourite of mine but I would drink this again if it was given to me however I would avoid purchasing this one myself. 5.8/10

Bubblegum Millions

Great candy but not such a great flavour of energy drink, Drinking Bubble Gum Millions I found pretty gross, way too sweet and just a really odd idea for an Energy Drink, I appreciate the creativity but no so much this taste 2/10

Sour Apple

Sour Apple is really tasty, it has a very similar flavour to apple juice and is quite sweet, I don’t understand the sour part because nothing about this is really sour, either way I will be getting this flavour again 8.5/10

Strawberry Millions

Again very sweet and an odd choice for energy drink flavour but its no where near as sweet as the bubble gum and has a more bearable artificial strawberry flavour, I still would not go out of my way for it but I would take this over the Bubble Gum any day 4/10

Blue Rasberry

Ending things on Blue Raspberry and unfortunately again I’m not a big fan of this, its still quite sweet although not overly strong, I think its the artificial flavour that’s put me off so I probably wont be buying this one again 6.3/10

Sneak is a really fun brand and im really pleased I was able to check them out, Its a shame the majority of flavours were way to sweet for me but overall the ones I enjoyed I really enjoyed so I can’t say I won’t be using them again.

When it comes to an official ranking from my least favourite to most enjoyed we have Stealth

Bubblegum Millions

Strawberry Watermelon

Cherry Bomb

Blue Rasberry

Strawberry Millions

Sour Apple

Tropikilla

Purple Storm

Among the Sleep (2014) Review

591258345bafe3ad8b7f4b47

Among the Sleep is a survival horror game, it was developed and published by Krillbite Studios and was released on PC and Xbox One in 2014, Play Station 4 in 2015 and will be released on the Nintendo Switch in May 2019.

2920d37170d744dd82cc918f287f896108003cbaa4a4c2670ab8f4f3e1f2122e

In the game you play as a child that is celebrating his second birthday, the celebration is disturbed by a knock at the front door, the child’s mother becomes angry after answering the door and the conversation becomes distorted and muffled, the mother comes back with a gift and takes the child upstairs, before giving the child his present the phone rings and the mother leaves the room to answer the call.

The gift is a sentient toy bear that climbs out of the box and asks the child to find him, after finding the teddy, the child hides in the closet before being discovered by his mother who puts him to bed, the child wakes up to find the bear being taken away by an unforeseen force which issues the child to find teddy once again which is when he realises his mother is missing and an adventure to find her begins.

The gameplay takes the player into a realm of memories and fear, a dark land where you are hunted my mysterious figures which represent trauma the child has witnessed over the two years of his life, teddy takes him into this place to find memories of his mother hoping that the memories will finally allow mother and child to be reunited.

78072a67-a158-44fa-8248-a00cb4d62f81

There are lots of puzzles to solve and many places to discover, the game is not as scary as you may imagine but the mystery and sense of being lost in an usual and dark world makes the atmosphere creepy and very memorable.

apps.50799.66102710986666865.f3f95329-edb8-4378-a10c-f93b88b105d1

The world of the game is really fun to explore and the various areas make sure that nothing gets boring. On a graphical standpoint they could be better in some areas, in general they are quite good but not anything special for this gaming generation, some graphical details are great but others seem pix-elated especially at a close distance.

The soundtrack is not very memorable in my opinion, nothing really grabbed me but I wouldn’t consider it bad.

Among the Sleep is a really interesting game as its not often that a survival horror is from the perspective of a child but apart from this the game was a bit mediocre in my opinion, the game play dragged out little for me and even though I enjoyed the multiple areas of the game I really was not interested enough to want to do more than the main story, you can collect drawings in the game but they dont do much and can be easily skipped.

Among the Sleep may not be one of the best survival horror games I have played but if you can get it cheap then the three hour long content may just be worth your while.

5.4/10

I hope you enjoyed this review of Among the Sleep

Lets take a look at Splatoon Global Test Fire

With Nintendo’s new IP Splatoon getting released in only 20 days Nintendo decided to allow all Wii U players to test out the game today by downloading the demo and joining three different hour long mulitplayer games split over three different time slots, also please note that I am not going to discuss graphics and audio since I am doing a review of the full game at the beginning of June just after the game release.

Title Screen

This Demo allows players to try their luck at Turf War where two teams go up against each other and battle to see which team can cover the most land with their ink by the end of the match.

I am so pleased that we were given the opportunity to try out the game before its release and I am even more pleased that I wasn’t at all disappointed with it.

Spraying Ink

As I previously mentioned the objective to Turf War and the basic gameplay element of Splatoon is very different to that of an ordinary FPS which was a risky move but ultimately it works extremely well.

I had a blast playing the Demo and I was surprised when I realised that I was actually quite good at it which is something I cannot say about most FPS’s.

When you start the Demo the first thing you are told too do is to create your Inkling by choosing your gender, skin tone and finally eye colour, there wasn’t much choice here but I am sure there will be in the final product.

game mode

Next you are taken through the tutorial level where you learn the basic game play mechanics such as shooting, travelling in squid mode and throwing bombs.

splatroller

Finally you have to choose your weapons for battle before you join a multi-player game

There are four weapons to choose from.

you have two machine gun type weapons which can fire rapid shots of Ink at a fast rate, the bigger gun can shoot further but not as fast and the JR version can shoot faster but not as far.

You have a sniper rifle type weapon which can shoot enemies from far away with some very powerful shots, I didn’t like this weapon personally as I felt it slowed me down and left me at quite a disadvantage compared to the other players who mostly used weapons which sprayed a lot of ink.

Finally you get the Splat Roller which as you may have guessed is a weapon that you roll all over the battle arena leaving a lot of Ink behind, you can attack enemies with this weapon but the attack is extremely low range and is a physical attack unlike the other weapons which can all fire bullets.

turf wars

Turf wars is a lot of fun I really enjoyed running around and just shooting everything to spread my ink and I was pleased to learn that I could actually defeat enemy players when I dealt them enough damage, turf wars takes a lot of strategy  to win as you have to shoot every thing but at the same time you need to turn into a squid and swim through your own Ink to refill on ammunition and its a lot harder than it sounds.

Getting into matches was very quick and very easy, I never had to wait more than two minutes to get into a game and while I was waiting I got play a pleasant little mini game where I had to bounce a squid onto different platforms.

Pros

  • Fun game play
  • Quick tutorial
  • Quick joining matches
  • Mini game on the loading screen

Cons

  • Only two maps available
  • Cant skip tutorial
  • Wish we had access to at least one more game mode.

Splatoon Global Test fire was a lot of fun and if you would like to give it shot, you can download it on the Wii U E-shop and you can join the match tonight at 8.00pm until 9.00pm

I hope you enjoyed my look at Splatoon Global Tesfire

The legend of Zelda (NES) review

Before I begin this blog I would like to apologise for my lack of blogs over the past few weeks, I’ve had a lot on my mind recently and this has caused me to really not be in the mood or in a comfortable atmosphere to write decent blogs or reviews.

Over the years we have had a lot of very impressive Nintendo titles especially from my personal favourite series The Legend of Zelda. As much as the series is still really fun I do sometimes feel that the games are losing the sense of adventure the original games had to offer and this really sucks because gamers of our generation are not experiencing the Zelda games the same way a lot of us did when we was younger, due to this I feel that most gamers don’t realise just how far back the Zelda video game series goes. So today I want to share my experiences and adventure I had when I first played The Legend of Zelda for the NES.

 Image

First of all I think this is a good time to mention that the Legend of Zelda is one of the very few NES games which allowed players to save their data and trust me in this game having the feature is definitely  useful as the game can take a long time to beat the first few times. This is due to the massive size of the over world which I find to be very impressive especially for an NES game.

Image

This game got a lot of advertisement when it first came out but the most noticeable advertisement was a rap, this video is hilarious but take note when the cool kid says “Woah nice graphics”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uI3rO3PbYOo

Now don’t get me wrong It think the game looks great, there is plenty of enemies to fight and I can happily say that with the NES having a limited colour palette I think Nintendo did a really good job in the colour department. The graphics actually do look smooth in some areas of the game but as much as I really like the enemy colour palettes, I do wish there more variety on colour in the dungeons and over world because this game does suffer from a similar issue to the original Super Mario Bros where the colours and environments do seem to repeat themselves a lot of the time, but that may be because the game is meant to confuse player in order to give them a bigger sense of adventure.

Speaking of enemies some of my favourites include

 Image

Darknuts

 Image

Ghini’s

 Image

Ghibdo’s

 Image

Keese

 Image

Ropes

 Image

And the creepy but very mysterious Pols Voice

A little fact about Pols voice: Pols voice are afraid of loud noises, in the European and USA version of the game nothing could be done to scare the Pols voice but in the Japanese version the player could make a noise into the Famicoms Microphone to stun the Pols voice.

These are just a few of the enemy names, as you can tell it is all a bit weird but Nintendo obviously liked this Idea because they kept the enemy names for future titles.

The music in this game is very good, but I do feel that just like the original Super Mario bros that it lacks music tracks. I may be being nit picky here but I find the music to get very annoying especially the over world music as this is the music you mostly hear in the game. To my knowledge the game only has three tracks not including the end credits the over world theme, the dungeon theme and Ganons dungeon theme.

Throughout the game the player will need to find specific items in order to proceed throughout the world and these items are not always so easy to find because most of them require link to bomb a wall but there is no indication of what walls to bomb so a lot of time it will be trial and error.

The game consists of 8 dungeons before you can finally take on the final dungeon to face the final boss.

 Image

As an old school gamer I have played most of the classic Nintendo games but personally I find this to be one of my favourites to play through time and time again. The sense of adventure this game provides is amazing. I highly recommend this one to any old school gamers but chances are that most of you have already played this game and if so why not boot your old Nintendo’s and play it again.

A little Fun Fact: Did you know that The legend of Zelda was inspired by Walt Disney’s Peter Pan. Pretty cool right

Hope you enjoyed this review

Sonic the pornhog

That’s right kids sega has now officially licenced sonic porn or so I have heard
image

I don’t know if this is true but if it is all I can say is Sega what the hell

I know that ever since the Sonic Adventure games the Sonic franchise has been going downhill but to have to resort to sonic porn, I don’t know whether to feel sorry for Sega or to find the whole situation funny.

image

I want to know what sick pervert thought to draw sonic porn pictures in the first place

I do realise that video game pornography has been available since the dawn of desperate nerds but never before has a video game company ever actually licensed the porn themselves just so they can make some extra cash

How desperate can you be to jack off to sonic porn any way? come on can you honestly tell me you have played a sonic game and thought “man that hedgehog is so hot” or ” hmm that Amy Rose is so fine” because I sure as hell haven’t

Like I said I don’t know if this is true but if it is then Sega I suggest councelling

Super Mario Bros 3 (NES) Review

Super Mario Bros 3 (NES) Review

Super Mario Bros 3 if like me you enjoy playing old Nintendo games every time you say or hear that name you feel like a god why you may ask I will tell why you feel like a god because its Super Mario Bros 3. Considered to be the one of the greatest video games of all time Mario 3 really left an impact on our childhoods it was the game that made up for Super Mario Bros 2 and it showed what kind of game play, graphics and sound the NES was capable of producing, but enough of me having a nerdgasm lets get on with the review.

The Story

The story to this game is simple but awesome take a wild guess what happens I’m going to give you five seconds  5 4 3 2 1 still don’t know well Princess Peach gets kidnapped by Bowser and Mario has to save her geez what a shock. This may seem cliché but there is a small twist Bowser now has seven children known as the Koopa kids each of these kids have some sort magic staff which gave them the power to take over 7 kingdoms using the staffs to turn the kings of each land in to animals. This means that as well as defeating Bowser Mario needs to take out each of the Koopa kids as well other than that it’s a basic Mario story line.

The game itself

The game controls for Mario 3 are perfect there is no delay on the controls throughout the entire game. As you may have guessed there are many different ways to attack your foes in this game you can jump on enemies to defeat them shoot fireballs with the power flower, become invincible with the power star, Throw hammers with the hammer bros hammer and you can hit enemies with your tanookie suit tail. The tanookie suit is my favourite suit in the game because of one small thing it allows Mario to fly yes that’s right you can fucking fly in this game it may not be that special now in 2012 but trust me in 1991 this was the greatest thing ever and I’m so glad they brought back the tanookie suit Super Mario 3D land.

Graphics

As well as being an amazing experience Mario 3 looks amazing too it’s brightly coloured throughout the entire game, it has amazing character detail and overall its one of the happiest looking games I have ever played. I love this game so much I think it looks better than the Legend of Zelda and trust me a game needs to be pretty fucking impressive for me to say that.

download

Music

The Music in this game is amazing now the NES had a lot of games which suffered from non enjoyable soundtracks but there are few NES games out there which have soundtracks which in my opinion are better than most video game soundtracks from modern games if you like the soundtrack to halo go play any of the Mega Man games and you’ll see what I mean and once you’ve played Mega Man go Play Mario 3 because it provides a soundtrack that you don’t wanna miss out on. Another aspect about the Music in Mario 3 I love is the amount of different tracks in the game just like Mc Kids there is almost a new track for every single level and there are 48 levels in this game and for the NES to be able to produce a new track for each of them levels is pretty god damn impressive.

Bosses

There are three different kinds of bosses in Mario 3

The Gatekeepers- OK there not really called the gatekeepers there called boom booms but they hold the keys to the gates in the first 7 worlds, opening these gates allows Mario to have a check point so that if you get game over you don’t have to start at the beginning of the world and instead you can start from half way through, any way to defeat these guys you got to jump on their heads three times and once defeated you can then earn the gatekeepers key.

The seven Koopa kids- Just like the gate keepers to defeat the seven Koopa kids you got to jump on their heads three times to defeat them but don’t think this is an easy talk to do the Koopa kids become really challenging towards the end of the game. The Koopa kids each look different and each have different skills which they use to the best of their abilities some are faster than others, some are stronger than others, some are big, and some are small and so on.

Bowser- I love this Final boss because Bowser pretty much kills himself which is hilarious instead of jumping on Bowser’s head you fight him on top of a load of bricks and Bowser tries to squish Mario with giant turtle ass all Mario’s got to do is avoid Bowser and eventually he will fall through the bricks the final battle isn’t as easy as it sounds though just like the Koopa kids Bowser provides a lot of challenge but he’s not too difficult.

Final Verdict

It’s probably no surprise that I’m going to give Super Mario Bros 3 a 10/10 because it’s one of the greatest video of all time and with good reasons, it never gets boring, it looks and sounds great and overall it’s an experience you should never live without and it will live in our hearts forever it isn’t just game is Super Mario Bros 3 man it feels good to say that. I hope you enjoyed this review of Super Mario Bros 3 this is my opinion of the game if you respect my opinion I will respect yours.
